The gaming world is about to PLAY ATOMIC OWL! Since our successful Kickstarter launch this past spring, we’ve been dedicated to making our debut title's demo as polished, bug-free, and enjoyable as possible. Starting today, early Kickstarter backers at the Bladewing tier and above can download the demo and play it immediately throughout the weekend. Then, on Monday, the demo will be available to everyone as part of Steam Next Fest. We've already had a handful of content creators playing as well! Let's talk about the demo a little bit! Atomic Owl is a neo-roguelite fusion sidescrolling platformer, inspired by games like Celeste, Dead Cells, MegaMan X, Hollow Knight, and more. However, we've recently made some interesting changes to the combat. Rather than the old design approach of hitting enemies repeatedly until they die, we've implemented a new way to engage enemies that we think you'll find very interesting and rewarding--a time stop + chain method of dispatching enemies, similar to games like Katana Zero, but with our own spin. Easy for new players, but actively rewarding for high-level players and those who want to be stylish! The demo showcases a fair bit of story from the main game as well, but you are free to skip any dialogue and get straight into the action if you choose. The demo is also fairly short, roughly 20 - 30 minutes if you take your time. We wanted to get our most polished levels out but also give you a taste of what you can expect when we launch next year, but not give too much away. Demo Specifics: • Quick 500 MB Download  • Full Xbox/PS4/PS5/Keyboard Support  • Full Steam API Integration  • Playable on Steam Deck, but not completely optimized. If you choose to play it on Steam Deck, you will see bugs in the UI. • Widescreen is supported, but you may see some letterboxing We look forward to your feedback. Here is the official Steam demo page for Atomic Owl: https://lnkd.in/gHcX7-Eg Want to talk about the demo on socials or in our Discord? Join the party here: https://lnkd.in/gD675WUa Haven't wishlisted the full game yet? https://lnkd.in/gCrb97N2 The full game will be released in 2025 on Steam, GOG, Playstation 5 (Digital and Physical), Nintendo Switch (Digital and Physical), and Xbox Series X/S (Digital Only) Atomic Owl is published by EastAsiaSoft, publishers of games like Cursed Castilla EX and Habroxia. Thank you for being a part of the Monster Theater story!

Eldar here. Designing experiences that delight people is what I enjoy most, and sometimes, that culminates into a physical product I can actually hold! The Atomic Owl vinyl (distributed by Morphius Records) features a handful of selected tracks from our game’s soundtrack and was a limited 150 print exclusive to our game’s Kickstarter backers. For you collectors out there, only 150 exist of this run and will ever exist. Maybe we'll see them circulate through the indie games expo scene? Who knows. Seeing fans of the game receive theirs (and listen to them!) makes me crazy happy and is the reason I love being a creator of fiction. Thank you for supporting my vision for Atomic Owl and Monster Theater. Let's keep making great indie games with great soundtracks!

Eldar here -- and it's time for another update on where everything is at with Atomic Owl. We've been making a lot of progress on the game lately and we have some exciting news to share. But first, we couldn't have done this without the concerted effort of the Monster Theater team! Super proud of all the work our handful of goblins have been doing. Ally C / Pasindu De Silva / Casey Weeks / Ryan Shiel / Damir Muharem / Diamonick Dunn / Matías Sánchez Now, let's get into the updates. • The Atomic Owl Demo We're just a couple of weeks away from everyone being able to play Atomic Owl's PC demo! Launching first and foremost on Steam, you'll be able to experience the first area of the game in its entirety, experience our power-up "Wing Remnant" system, and be able to meet our colorful cast of characters. The Atomic Owl demo comes to Steam on October 14th, just in time for Steam Next Fest. Stay tuned by wishlisting Atomic Owl on Steam: https://lnkd.in/ehjqjS6R • Atomic Owl Vinyl Update By now, most of our Kickstarter backers should have received a neat little surprise in the mail! 99% of Atomic Owl vinyls have been shipped out. We're super honored to have worked with Morphius Records to create and distribute these exclusive first print. • Atomic Owl's Animated Intro is up! Speaking personally here, I've always wanted our game to have an animated intro! The vision for this quick animated intro has been swirling in my head for the better part of a year now, and I'm proud to announce that we've finally finished it and uploaded it to our YouTube. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gCPdzC7h • Have you heard Odyssey yet? Atomic Owl's title track, Odyssey, composed by XENNON, is out now! You can listen to it on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gPZ_rb94 Apple Music: https://lnkd.in/gQVV2qqq That's all for now! We have a lot more exciting announcements and reveals coming for the rest of the year, but for now, we hope you enjoy everything we have on offer! Once more into the Owlverse, Eldar

Something that we've always wanted to make sure we had in Atomic Owl was a voice-acted cast. Our characters are loaded with personality, color, and story, and we wanted to make sure that their in-game representations are done justice! So we're proud to announce our FULL voice cast! Hidalgo is Nick Huber! https://lnkd.in/guvsxJX7 Mezameta and Omega Wing are Dakota Farnsworth! https://lnkd.in/gj4PHgN8 Goliam is Bryce Buckley! https://lnkd.in/gBMrHzUF Kaze is Kat Dannes! https://lnkd.in/gjJ8Bwpe

We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new logo that captures the quirky, mystical spirit of our studio! After months of joking about our Goblin Intern internally, a chaotic little inside joke among our team that rears its head when something goes WRONG with a pull request or whatever, we decided to bring him to life as the mascot behind our studio. The legendary and very handsome Goblin Intern embodies the playful and whimsical essence that defines our studio’s games. His mischievous aura aligns perfectly with the type of games we create – strange, mystical adventures filled with colorful and larger-than-life characters. From synth-wave-y cities to bizarre magical realms, our stories and characters will always bring a splash of vibrant imagination to the screen. We wanted our logo to reflect this distinctiveness, this strangeness -- this representation of outsider art. He’s not just a mascot; he’s literally a part of our team. Spiritually, anyway. Our whole ethos with this new logo is our willingness to bypass greedy schemes in the games industry and make honest experiences. Our whole thing and vibe is like a theater play with goblins and little monsters and shadow creatures that have come together to make a game studio. A serious studio, but with friendly little creatures behind the scenes. Creating this logo was a journey in itself, and we were fortunate to collaborate with the incredibly talented graphic designer, Julian Vasquez. He's fantastic. We did a little exercise where I put together some words just to give him a sense of where I was thinking this logo should go. I put... Inspirations for the studio, but not brands/conventional inspirations • Dark Cloud’s general aesthetic on PS2 • Okage’s box art on PS2 • Osmund’s design in White Knight Chronicles on PS3 • 3D Dot Game Heroes general feel • The Pokemon ‘Gastly’ • Time Wizard from Yu-Gi-Oh • Kage from Ranking of Kings • The Clown Enemies from the first Devil May Cry He also asked me, "What are the needs and expectations your audience has when they come to Monster Theater? What kind of experience are they seeking IN YOUR GAMES?" So...I told him, They want to be let into a strange little community that resembles the friendships formed in youth. In our games, they want an experience that subverts genre norms. Replayable games, but games that break the heart and have narrative plot points that come out of nowhere and hit you in the gut. Thanks for reading, -Eldar
