On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, we highlight the importance of accessible mental health services, especially for Montana’s Indigenous communities. The Montana Mental Health Access Fund, with a special focus on tribal communities, supports innovative projects designed to improve mental health access, including the use of telehealth and other resources to reach underserved areas. Nonprofits and organizations working on Montana’s seven Indian Reservations or with the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe are encouraged to apply. Eligible projects should aim to: Increase access to mental health services, particularly through technology like telehealth Remove barriers such as geographic, demographic, and economic challenges Provide services at no cost to patients Offer sustainable, long-term solutions with measurable outcomes Applications are open until November 1.
