We know that recovery is a process that does not end when clients leave our care. Beginning this week, we’re rolling out our refreshed alumni virtual support groups that help past clients stay connected to our programs and to other people who understand what it’s like to recover from an eating disorder. Our virtual support groups are open to individuals 18 and older who have received treatment at any of our programs. Our program now includes: - Weekly groups open to all past alumni wherever they are on their journey - New times convenient for West Coast alumni - Specialty groups including binge eating disorder, LGBTQIA+, and athletes - Caregiver support group for parents of adult and adolescent alumni More info and to sign up: https://lnkd.in/dnV6Mkh6 #virtualsupportgroups #supportgroups

In August, we recognize and celebrate Intersectionality Awareness Month. Intersectionality, a term coined by Kimberlé Crenshaw, helps us appreciate how various aspects of identity—such as race, gender, sexuality, ability, and socioeconomic status—interact and create unique experiences of privilege and oppression. By embracing this concept, we not only acknowledge the complexity of individual experiences but also enhance our collective efforts toward inclusivity and equity.
