Today, we celebrated our team of Olympians as they showcased their athletic talents in axe throwing, corn hole, mini golf, and pitching balls at a dunk tank graciously manned by our Chief Operating Officer Michael Novak. Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a 391-bed community acute care medical and surgical hospital, which was founded in 1895 and is located in Rockland County, NY. Its mission is to provide competent, innovative and accessible emergency and acute care services to the residents of Rockland County and surrounding areas. We congratulate Carina Cassano, BS, PharmD for successfully completing her PGY-1 residency. She submitted her research project "Navigating the Shift: Comparing Safety and Cost of Tenecteplase verses Alteplase in Acute Ischemic Stroke" to a peer reviewed journal and will soon be starting as a Clinical Pharmacy Manger in Transitional Care Excellence within Montefiore Health System.

On June 11th, about 200 guests gathered to celebrate the dedication of the new Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Orthopedic and Spine Center in West Nyack, NY. US Congressman Mike Lawler and Rockland County Executive Ed Day issued proclamations, and Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann, a supporter of the project, were in attendance. The Center offers integrated and comprehensive orthopedic medical and surgical care, advanced orthopedic and spine imaging, spinal interventions, and expert physical rehabilitation services from the academic experts at Montefiore Einstein Orthopedic and Spine Surgeons, Montefiore Nyack Hospital, and Burke Rehabilitation. This spacious 60,000-square-foot building outfitted with the latest surgical, imaging, and treatment equipment, was developed by Aspect Health, Inc. and designed by Gensler.
