Dr. Addison Wood and Montrose Regional Health have successfully completed the first fully navigated Prone Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion Surgery on the Western Slope of Colorado! Dr. Wood completed this minimally invasive operation with the use of the Excelsius GPS Robotic System. The procedure treats disc issues in the lower back through the process of surgically combining bones to release pinched nerves, limit painful motion, and correct scoliosis – a condition which causes the spine to curve abnormally. Montrose Regional Health and Peak Performance Therapy owner Mark Campbell are pleased to announce the hospital's acquisition of Peak Performance Therapy, PC, a physical therapy clinic located in Telluride, Colorado. Beginning July 29, Peak Performance Therapy, PC will be owned by Montrose Regional Health and will continue practicing under a new title - Mountain View Therapy Peak Performance. Meet Sarah Zugalla, Physical Therapist at our Ridgway Mountain View Therapy location. Sarah recently earned her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification from Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. This certification provides the knowledge and skills for practitioners to precisely diagnose and treat pelvic dysfunctions for men and women throughout their life cycle. Currently, Sarah is one of only three Physical Therapists on the Western Slope that has earned this certification, allowing her to continue providing excellent care to our communities. My favorite hobby is playing cards and board games, especially Cards Against Humanity. What is a fun fact about you? A fun fact about me is that I am a grandmother and have four beautiful daughters. Where is your happy place? My happy place is nature…hiking, enjoying waterfalls and hugging trees. What’s your favorite thing about working at MRH? My favorite thing about working at MRH is interacting with our patients. I can truly see that this community loves MRH and I am so happy to be a part of this community and hospital family!!
