We are thrilled to welcome Mitzvah Circle to their new home at 435 Doylestown Road in Montgomery Township! Mitzvah Circle fills critical gaps by providing essential items—clothing, diapers, toiletries, and more—to families and individuals who need them most. Mitzvah Circle is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the basic items many take for granted. Their compassionate, direct approach offers ongoing assistance and care to over 295,000 people each year, making a meaningful impact one care package at a time. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors, Montgomery County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Jamila H. Winder, Senator Maria Collett, Congresswoman Madeline Dean, and State Representatives Melissa Cerrato, Steve Malagari, Liz Hanbidge, and Matthew Bradford for joining us today and for their invaluable support and dedication to our community. We are also deeply honored by the presence and encouragement of First Lady Lori Shapiro. Today’s ribbon-cutting marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Mitzvah Circle in Montgomery Township. Montgomery Township has issued a temporary burn ban effective 10/28/2024. This ban will last 30 days and prohibits open fires, including recreational fire pits and fireworks. All township-issued recreational fire permits will be revoked during the prohibition. The ban is due to the extended period of dry conditions affecting Montgomery Township and the potential for uncontrollable fire spread and wildfires. Montgomery Township is committed to the safety of our community. Please direct any questions to the Fire Marshal’s Office at 215-393-6936. One Department. One Mission. #WeAreMontgomeryTwp
