Moore & Van Allen PLLC (MVA) is pleased to announce that the firm’s human resources team, led by Chief People Officer Stephanie D., has been shortlisted for the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2024 Best in HR Awards, which celebrates excellence in human resources work for local employees. MVA is one of four finalists in the Large Private Company category. Finalists were chosen across six categories based on the size and type of employer. A winner in each category will be named during an awards event on Oct. 10 at The Westin Charlotte and all finalists will be featured in a CBJ special report due out on Oct. 18. In the nomination process, companies were asked to describe a business opportunity that is being met by a specific HR program or undertaking. MVA highlighted its expanding leadership structure that allows the firm to leverage continuing growth while preserving its unique culture. This expansion commenced with Dixon’s hiring in 2023, at which point she thoughtfully and creatively supported objectives that are key to the firm’s growth, such as: • A monthly Managers Forum • MVA Dimensions internal newsletter, which highlights Business Resource Group events • New employee engagement initiatives • Talent and departmental alignment “We are honored to receive this recognition and I can think of no more deserving individuals than Stephanie and her dedicated team,” said MVA Managing Partner and Chair Tom Mitchell. “Stephanie’s vision is acutely aligned with our strategic plan and the growth we anticipate in the coming years. She has a natural ability to navigate even the most complex of situations and her years of experience in the legal industry provide her with an understanding of what is needed to comprehensively support the inner workings of a law firm.” “I cannot speak highly enough of the impact Stephanie has had on our organization,” said MVA Chief Operating Officer Elizabeth Satterfield. “Stephanie is an incredibly adept leader and collaborative team member who truly adds value to everything she touches. She always strives to be better and is constantly looking downfield for future talent development opportunities.” https://lnkd.in/ebSww9tX
