Dear MPS Community, I’m excited to share our new Moore Public Schools Brand Guidelines with you and reveal our new district logo. I look forward to seeing how it will be used and seen, and at the same time, we invite you to be a brand ambassador with us and for our new logo. This new mark represents our incredible history and all the good things to come. After 22 years with the same mark, any organization’s logo can become modified without having dedicated brand guidelines. We recognized it as an opportunity to rebrand and publish new, customized brand guidelines for MPS. It is such an honor to have listened to what our stakeholders believe and expect of us, and now present our new logo during this time in MPS’s history. I invite you to learn about the new logo and see our new brand guidelines with all new primary and secondary color palettes. You may also see our fortified Mission Statement in the Brand Guidelines. Our new district colors reflect the vibrant spirit of our students, employees, and our MPS community. MPS Brand Guidelines: https://lnkd.in/gu9_hxhJ Press release: https://lnkd.in/g4nzFWZw Thank you for being a brand ambassador with us, and for your continued trust in the work we do. MPS Alumni Spotlight: Next month, the Army-Navy game just might mean a little bit more to the MPS community because Westmoore 1992 graduate Brian Newberry is the head football coach of the U.S. Naval Academy! Brian recently “took a time out” to share memories about his time at Kingsgate Elementary, Brink, Moore West, and WHS. Full interview: https://lnkd.in/gXsFkFH6 Hear Brian tell how his Westmoore coaches had a massive impact on his career path and what it takes to lead a team of 180 at the U.S. Naval Academy. We can’t thank Brian enough for giving shout-outs to some of his favorite WHS coaches and teachers and spending time with us during his busy season. Good luck, Brian and his Midshipmen on Dec. 14! Go Navy, Beat Army! #mpspride #jaguarpride FUN FACT: Every crowd that chants, “I believe that we will win!” uses a chant started by Navy Midshipmen! Watch the moment the chant was born during the 1999 Army-Navy game here: https://lnkd.in/gV-BYYe2

HUGE Congratulations to the 2024 Smokey Holland Bowl City Champions! 🏈 🏆 Last night at Lion Stadium, Highland East's 8th grade Cougars beat Highland West 35-0, and the Brink 7th grade Bobcats beat Highland East 12-6! Way to go, boys - and THANK YOU to all of the coaches, trainers and spirit squads! 🤩 DID YOU KNOW? The late Robert Richard "Smokey" Holland was a beloved pillar of our district from 1961-1987. He served as head football coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Head Athletic Director for all Junior High schools. In 1989 Smokey was inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame and recognized for his 32 years of dedication to the hundreds of athletes and coaches he mentored. The annual game became an MPS tradition in 1994, and Holland Bowl City Champ trophies are still awarded in his honor as this event keeps alive his legacy and love for MPS Athletics. ❤️ #mpspride #lionpride #jaguarpride #k12education
