The latest Windows 11 build introduces a new flyout in the Microsoft Store that suggests apps you might be interested in when you search for content. While the Store already offers suggestions based on your searches, this new feature adds another layer of recommendations. But here’s the thing: Microsoft hasn't clarified whether these suggestions are organic or paid advertisements. Are these suggestions helpful, or just another form of advertising? Microsoft has been increasing its "suggestions" within Windows 11, from recommended apps in the Start menu to prompts for signing up for services like Game Pass and OneDrive. Even built-in apps like the Weather app have started showing more ads. For business owners, this can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, these suggestions might help you discover useful apps that can boost productivity and streamline operations. On the other hand, they might feel intrusive and distract you from your main tasks. As Windows 11 evolves, it's important for Microsoft to find a balance that enhances our experience without overwhelming us with ads. What do you think? Are these suggestions beneficial or just another form of advertising? #Windows11 #MicrosoftStore #TechUpdates

Having the ability to summarize documents up to 80,000 words in Word with Copilot is a real time-saver, especially for those dealing with extensive reports or manuscripts. It’s like having a virtual assistant that cuts through the noise and gives you the essentials in seconds. Great move by Microsoft to streamline content management across all platforms! #Microsoft #Copilot #ProductivityBoost #MoreMaxInc

If you've been using Copilot in Word for editing or writing, there's an exciting update you should know about. Copilot can now create summaries for much longer Word documents than before – up to about 80,000 words. That’s 4x more than the previous limit. This new feature could be a time-saver for businesses dealing with lengthy documents like legal files or financial records. Imagine how much time your team can save by getting a quick summary instead of sifting through pages of text. 🚩Here’s how it works: Open your long Word file, click on the Copilot button in the Home tab, and type “Summarize this doc” in the Copilot chat box. Like magic, you get a summary right away. Don’t like it? Just type the prompt again for a new one. This feature is rolling out on all platforms: Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and the web edition of Word. Want to learn about other productivity-boosting tools from Microsoft? Hacking is a real threat to your business. If you don’t prioritize your cyber security, you risk losing data, facing ID theft, and more. But how can you tell if you’ve been hacked? 🤔 First, watch out for pop-up messages and antivirus warnings. These can often be malware pretending to be helpful alerts. If you see one, don’t click. ⛔ Another sign is if friends or colleagues tell you they’ve received spam from your email. This means a hacker might be using your account to spread malware. 📩 New and unexpected software on your computer is also a red flag. This could be malicious software installed by hackers. Similarly, if you get notifications about account changes you didn’t request, check things are secure. 🔒 Slow performance and frequent crashes can indicate that malware is running on your computer, using up resources. Changes to your web browser, like a new homepage or unexpected toolbars, are another sign of trouble. Lastly, if your webcam activates on its own, someone might be spying on you. 🕵️ How can you protect your computer? 🔐 🚩First, keep your operating system up to date. Let your device install updates automatically. 🚩Running security software is crucial too. 🚩Always use strong, unique passwords for each account to prevent one breach from leading to others. Implementing two-factor authentication (2FA) where you get a login code on another device, adds an extra layer of security. 🚩Finally, avoid using public or unsecured Wi-Fi. These networks are easy targets for hackers. If you must use them, avoid logging into sensitive accounts. My team and I help businesses round here stay secure. We do all the work, so they don’t have to. We'd love to chat about how we can help 👉 https://lnkd.in/ggXnAtra

👌Absolutely agree! 👍👍👍 ✅Backing up data isn’t just a box to check—it’s a strategy to protect what matters most to your business. ☁️While cloud storage is convenient, it’s smart to have a mix of solutions. Think of on-site backups as your immediate safety net, while cloud storage offers off-site protection. And don't forget hybrid setups—they give you the best of both worlds. 📃Regularly testing your backups ensures they work when you need them most. Where data threats are ever evolving, staying proactive is key.
