Last Thursday was Halloween, so let’s talk about WITCHES - yes, really! In my upcoming online Master Class November 14-15, we’ll dive into innovative mediation strategies (See full agenda below). One strategy we’ll explore is: Make Sure All the Witches are At the Table Remember the curse of Sleeping Beauty? Briar Rose was cursed by Maleficent, the one person left off the guest list to her party. In mediation, we want to avoid any “curses” by ensuring all the right people are involved!! Inviting consulting lawyers to fully participate can prevent unnecessary resistance in the mediation process. Susan Guthrie is attending the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution m Annual Conference in San Diego as Chair-Elect of the Section and will be keynoting the ASSOCIATION OF ATTORNEY-MEDIATORS Conference in Texas in two weeks. Forrest (Woody) Mosten is in Lublin, Poland to judge the finals of the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition while being honored as a Peacemaker by Mediators Beyond Borders International. #mostenguthrie #mediation #training
