✨ The future lies in media. How can we keep pace with technological advancements and achieve success? What challenges does a modern influencer face? And what skills must we have to thrive in the creative economy? ✨ We found answers to all these questions during the career chat hosted by Gabelli School MS in Media Management at Fordham Gabelli School of Business, "Behind the Influence: Careers in Creator Economy." A big thank you to our guest, Brittany Hennessy, for addressing such an important topic and helping our students dive deep into building their brand. Her insights on influencer marketing provided valuable perspectives from both the brand and creator sides. Her positivity encouraged our students, especially those about to begin their careers in creator economy and influencer marketing. Our current MSMM student, Yufei W., did an amazing job moderating the conversation and asking crucial questions, especially on the pressing global topic of AI and whether it threatens our creativity. A special thank you to our MSMM's Program Director, Professor Bozena I. What a fantastic night at the MEA Fall Kickstart Party last week! 🍁 Organized by the Media and Entertainment Alliance (MEA) at Fordham Gabelli School of Business, the event successfully reunites old batchmates and welcomes new faces. The night was filled with creativity, collaboration, and great energy. Attendees enjoyed interactive activities like the candy monster-making competition, pumpkin painting, and a fall-themed, media-focused Kahoot quiz! 🎃🍬 With drinks and pizza fueling the fun, it provided the perfect opportunity to strengthen old friendships and build new ones. Be curious! ✨ One of the key takeaways from yesterday’s Gabelli School MS in Media Management Career Chat, "Eyes on the Target: Careers in Strategy & Growth," featuring our Gabelli MSMM Alumna Danielle Padovano at the Fordham Gabelli School of Business. A big thank you to Danielle Padovano for taking the time to come back to campus and sharing such valuable insights on strategic thinking and career development with our students! We explored how being strategic not only means setting clear goals but also remaining adaptable, continuously learning, and staying ahead in a competitive environment. We also delved deep into what a strategy role involves and how to succeed in both the media and retail industries. Our current MSMM student Pan Hu did a great job moderating the conversation and addressing all the important questions, especially regarding how the Gabelli School MS in Media Management has prepared Danielle for her career and her advice for students looking to break into the media industry.
