  • 🌊 Welcome to MSEE Mondays, where we spotlight our incredible scientists and staff! Meet Veronica Valdes. 🐚 You can find Veronica in the Upper Keys, where she shares her love for the ocean with guests at @CheecaLodge every Saturday! Hailing from Miami, FL, she's a local expert who knows and loves the area well. Veronica holds a degree in Marine Science (Biology and Ecology) from Nova Southeastern University and an MBA in Management. Her experience makes her the perfect addition to our team and a gift to guests she interacts with! Her favorite activities in the Keys include diving and fishing—she used to vacation here often before making it her home in the Conch Republic! 🌴 When she's not inspiring others, you can find Veronica traveling to national parks to hike (she spent Christmas in Zion last year), hunting, reading, or swimming! 🏞️📚 Veronica loves working at MSEE because she enjoys watching kids and adults react to different sea creatures. "It's rewarding when you can make them comfortable holding the animals," she says. Veronica, we adore you and thank you for being an essential part of our marine family! 🌊🐚 #MSEEMondays #OceanWarrior
