May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the District's DEI Council has worked hard to implement activities, giveaways and resources to help spread awareness. "Mental Health Matters" bracelets were created and placed in all facilities for patrons and staff to wear and distribute. In addition, an interactive 'Take What You Need, Give What You Can' board was placed in Central Community Center and RecPlex lobbies for patrons to contribute or take positive messages from. The Council also created a new Mental Health & Wellness webpage on the mppd.org site. Here, one can find critical phone numbers, chat systems and credible websites with info on how to access or find help. We strive to continue spreading awareness, not only this month but, year-round to erase the negative stigma around Mental Health. It's okay to not be okay💚 #MPParkDistrict #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthMatters
