Much is representing Equip for Equality in a lawsuit against the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for allegedly violating the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act. The case challenges IDOC’s decision to keep men with disabilities in the now-closed Stateville Correctional Center, despite state officials deeming the facility uninhabitable. The Much team, led by principal Steven Blonder and associate Patrick B. Barnett, and Equip for Equality are seeking emergency court action to transfer the men to appropriate facilities.
