Southern Willamette Valley members spent an afternoon relaxing and mingling at the Fall Membership Social. Attendees were invited to bring a non-member, lapsed-member, or a member who had not been to an event for a long time and each person who did, was entered into a raffle. Guests were also given a challenge to complete; a list of attributes - tallest guest, likes pizza, largest property, etc. - that they were responsible for finding the member that fits the category. “It’s still a tough road to invest in this market. While apartment rents have lowered since the Spring 2024 Apartment Report, we may see trouble in the future as the pace of new construction has slowed. "What we are seeing now is that there is no new permits being put in based on financing cost and some of the political instability we have. So looking forward, we are not going to see new units coming online in 2025, 2026, and 2027," Greg Frick, Multifamily NW board member said. Gresham's new fee structure for the rental inspection program will impact property managers and renters. Jessie Dhillon, MBA, CAPS, CAM from Carla Properties, Ltd. was asked about the changes and shared, “Running a business is a balancing act, we have to keep track of income and it has to be bigger than expenses.
