#MuralPartner I find it fascinating when organizations disrupt the status quo in ways that genuinely benefit both business goals and their people, rather than for the sake of change without a clear purpose (“Throw some AI into it”, anyone?). One disruption that I find is extremely hard to get right is asynchronous collaboration. Especially when aiming to collaborate in a clear, effective, and swift manner. We all know there are countless meetings that could have been emails. But what about the emails that became an unreadable thread of miscommunication. There goes emailing right out the window for asynchronous collaboration. What about chat? Direct messages and group chats also have their place for asynchronous collaboration. But just as with email, they leave a lot to be desired. Leading to lengthy linear conversations and misinterpretation. Then how do we overcome these shortcomings to empower knowledge workers to collaborate better, whether it is across time zones or across hallways? The solution may lie in embracing a visually-oriented and less restrictive approach to collaboration. Mural is a visual work solution that is revolutionizing how teams work together by collaborating asynchronously with an accessible, visual platform that is based on an approach to problem-solving and teamwork developed through decades of research into how people work best. Some of my favorite Mural templates that I have personally used in the past to drive better work practices are the Customer Experience Journey Map and the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats Template. But there are many more templates to choose from that will help your team break out of the miscommunication cycle. Check them out for yourself: https://lnkd.in/gBCaYWM7

Leader| Head of |CISO | CISSP | CISM, CISA & CRISC | Information & Cyber Security Advisor | Program Leader | Security Architecture

Are you a Security/IT leader and tasked with managing or reviewing a collaboration tool? Want to hear from your counter part but on your own terms without any pressure... Then please feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to jump on a call. I offer this up because I get it, as a CISO that leads Security, Compliance & IT for an organization, my LinkedIn and email are nonstop with sales requests, and I know yours are too. Typically we like to cut to the chase, time is precious, the work and risks are nonstop, so we like to dig right in without multiple meetings or a pitch. I have had the privilege of time using Mural, I have seen & reaped the benefits of how Mural aids a dispersed workforce, helps build incredible idea sharing, no meeting room hunting fatigue, real-time interaction with no location boundaries, etc... Sometimes as a leader in the Security & IT field we don't always see the potential of tools like these. We hear about them, provide them or see other departments use and ask for them (sanctioned or not 😅) , but fail to translate the use to our own work streams. Everyone knows how fun loving and exciting the Security and IT teams are, everyone loves us with our policies, compliance obligations & audits! 😌 So if we see and understand the value, just imagine the party & potential all the other business units have. I am no sales person, just a CISO that is passionate about our field of work, the customers we support, the product my incredible team supports and the staff we support. I am happy to learn from you on your challenges and hope you can learn from me in how we use Mural within Security & IT. Feel free to repost, share with colleagues, other leaders outside of Security & IT, etc...
