    Most copywriters won’t say this… But I’m willing to: I don’t get copy right the first time every time. (This is why collaboration is so important) For example, last month we worked with Anjuli — an amazing pediatrician — to update her messaging and website with the new direction of her online business. Anjuli first came to me in 2021 to create the first version of her website and build resources she could sell. For the next 2 years, she grew to 141k followers on Instagram and sold LOTS of these resources. Then, in 2024 she came back to us. She was ready to update her website to more reflect the small adjustments she’s made in the business over the last 3 years But we hit a snag. She didn’t love the first draft of the homepage wireframe we wrote. It felt too salesy for what she wanted and it didn’t focus on the right things she most wanted to sell. So we rewrote it. I used our time in our Live Review Sessions to really hear her feedback and talk through what she liked and didn’t like. Collaboration like this takes: — Honest, constructive communication — Setting ego in the way-back of the bus — Curiosity and imagination to figure out why something isn’t working And the courage to try again But the labor is worth it… Anji LOVED her new site and how it truly reflected her and her business. This is what a good copywriter & client relationship looks like. And I’m proud that we have it with all our clients.     How are you stewarding your introduction opportunities? 2 things you should be doing -- Since attending the Grow 2024 conference with Catherine Brown, I've had so many amazing connections and introductions. Each person I talk to seems to introduce me to 3 more. And so on since February. My CRM is full of the tag {GROW 2024} And in all of these introductions, I've found these 2 things to be immensely helpful: 1️⃣ I have a canned copy and paste introduction that I offer to give to people who want to introduce me to their friends/ colleagues. (This can also be what we refer to as an elevator pitch) 2️⃣ I paint the picture of *when* someone might need to work with me. So to bring it full circle, John Way and I are hosting our first (sold out!) Elevator Pitch Workshop tomorrow. In it, we're going to help business leaders refine and workshop their Elevator Pitch so their sales conversations and introductions like this are smooth like butter.     Veterans Day feels near and dear to our hearts this year because of clients like RedSky.
