With summer break in full swing, we want to give a shout out to the incredible students at the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management and the School of Computing Senior Design! The projects they completed this past school year alongside some of our Mutual of Omaha associates gave them the opportunity to work on real-world challenges and enhance their software engineering skills. ✔️ Raikes School Design Studio students used a variety of technologies to build a user-friendly interface that helps Mutual associates access sales association data more easily. ✔️ The School of Computing students created an observability platform for Mutual’s group insurance business that collects and displays data from various sources. For 20 years, the Mutual of Omaha’s Information Services business unit has worked with University of Nebraska-Lincoln to help prepare the next generation of IT innovators as they transition from the classroom to their careers, and each year, we continue to be impressed by these students and their level of knowledge in the industry. Great work, students! #innovation #students #infotech

Earlier this month, interns and associates came together to assemble 400 snack bags for Youth Emergency Services, Inc. (YES). Through their Street Outreach program, YES distributes basic needs and hygiene bags supplies to support unhoused youth ages 16 – 21. In addition to volunteer efforts like this, the Mutual of Omaha Foundation also provides this organization with a general operating grant that supports their work with youth experiencing homelessness.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞! We are excited to lead the interior design for Mutual of Omaha's new headquarters! Now under construction, the 44-story tower will support a range of work styles, including in-person, hybrid and remote. Office spaces feature flexible “home floors,” each with a mix of scales and three primary settings to provide the power of choice and support collaborative, focused and virtual work. Loosely unassigned spaces allow real estate to be reallocated to nontraditional work points and shared amenities, maximizing access to the most in-demand space types. "Even a single destination can robustly manage diverse personal and professional needs,” says HOK's Betsy Graham, ASID, IIDA Graham. “From phone and meeting rooms to break areas, we’ve carved out opportunities that meet employees where they are—creating a responsive, people-first environment that reflects the spirit of their work.” Discover more: https://bit.ly/3xzyB1A
