Private Last Dance A trend that’s been gaining in popularity over the past few years is a private last dance. It occurs after the last dance. Guests are invited to leave the main reception venue to prepare for the couple’s send-off. However, there are pros and cons to having the private last dance you should consider. Pros The couple gets a special moment with their new spouse to recap the day. The couple has a chance to unwind after a whirlwind of planning. Beautiful pictures of the couple. It could include a dancing on-the-clouds effect too. It can provide a sense of closure to the event, allowing the couple to transition from the hustle of the celebration to their new life together. Not having it might feel like missing an important element of the wedding experience. Cons If the couple likes to drink it could be a drunken mess of a moment. Getting all of the guests out of the venue can be difficult. You need the photographer to stay for the entire reception to capture this moment which could increase their fee. Organizing a private last dance may require coordination with the DJ or band, which could be tricky, especially if the schedule is tight. Some couples might feel pressured to perform or create a memorable moment, which could detract from the enjoyment. If the couple isn’t comfortable dancing, this moment could feel awkward rather than romantic. The moment can feel heavy with emotion, which might not resonate with all couples or fit the overall vibe of the celebration. Okay.
