"The moment I took the money, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. This one check from Ascendus was affording me the freedom to treat whoever I want, whenever I want." Stories of Ascension: Lifting UP Community premieres its sixth and final video today with the inspirational story of Sherry from Clinical Care Offices. At her clinic, Sherry works with the youngest victims — children that witnessed mom murdered by dad, children that witnessed gang violence, and children caught in the crossfire of shootings. Her practice provides a safe space where those children can play, build coping skills, and move forward. Last year, the property owner wanted to sell the office, which would have closed her practice. With an Ascendus loan, bolstered by support from Santander, Sherry bought the office and became the owner of her own clinic.
