💎We are incredibly excited to share that N5 Sensors has achieved another milestone in community protection! We have recently collaborated with the Pepperwood Foundation to deploy our #wildfiredetection and #airqualitymonitoring smart sensor network, N5SHIELD®, in Pepperwood, California! We were joined in this deployment by N5's Value Added Reseller Ember Defense and Clarity. Combining Ember Defense's tech and Clarity’s #AirQuality devices, along with N5SHIELD®, our AI-enabled sensor system that continuously monitors air quality, we have formed a formidable, end-to-end protection network in Pepperwood. 🌟“The work that Pepperwood is doing by installing all of these N5 sensors is commendable and the data that will be compiled regarding air quality will help the agricultural and vineyard workers tremendously. Ember Defense supports their efforts and will continue to share what Pepperwood is doing and encourages other property owners to install N5 Sensors to help build the network of smart sensors for early wildfire detection and air quality monitoring.”- Adam Iveson, Co-Founder of Ember Defense 🎯 This deployment is an instrumental step in keeping vulnerable communities protected from wildfires and the resulting air quality impacts. We are deeply grateful to our partners who have trusted us with this responsibility and have been so appreciative of our technology. “The team at N5 has truly been a pleasure to work with, they are responsive, sincerely believe in the capabilities of their product and provide an outstanding level of support throughout the process. They are not selling you a product, they are a partner on your project. The kind of partner that goes above and beyond to search out project specific solutions and is actively looking for opportunities to innovate around fire detection. The N5 ChemNode is almost boringly simple to set up. N5 has provided a product complete with mounting structure, power system and various forms of telemetry.”- Ryan Ferrell, Research Scientist and Sentinel Site Manager, Pepperwood Preserve. ⭐️ We thank Pepperwood, the Universities Space Research Association (USRA), Soluna Outreach Solutions, Bay Area Environmental Research Institute , Communities Organized to Prepare for Emergencies (COPE), North Bay Jobs with Justice (NBJWJ), Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District (NoSoCoAir) and Nuestra Comunidad. We are also grateful to Darryl Stein and Jesse Malhotra for their unwavering support throughout this project. We are blessed to have you on our team! 📸[Images sourced from Ryan Ferrell]

N5 Sensors was honored to have a table demonstration at the Disaster Preparedness Forum hosted by DHS Science and Technology Directorate in Boulder, Colorado, on September 18, 2024. Represented by Debra Deininger, we showcased our AI-enabled early #wildfiredetection and #airqualitymonitoring sensor network, N5 SHIELD®, at the event. Our technology empowers communities by providing real-time data to detect #wildfires before they escalate, monitoring up to a 2-mile radius for #smoke, #particulatematter, #heatsignatures, and delivering immediate alerts to #firstresponders and stakeholders. As a testament to our commitment to disaster preparedness, we're excited that our wildfire detection technology will be deployed in Jefferson County later this year as a proactive measure for the upcoming wildfire season, complementing existing installations in the Colorado WUI. A sincere thank you to Dr. Dimitri Kusnezov and the DHS S&T for the opportunity to present our solution and contribute to enhancing disaster preparedness and community safety. We also extend our appreciation to Mr. Nathaniel Whittington MPA, CEM, MEPP for his insights on our sensor network's capabilities and the trust placed in N5 Sensors. [Photo Credit: City of Boulder]

This week marked the launch of the latest round of testing and evaluation for AI-based wildfire and wind sensors developed by S&T and N5 Sensors. Working closely with the U.S. Fire Administration, S&T and our partners will assess the sensors' ability to detect particulates in the air and automatically alert officials. The goal is to give firefighters more time to fight fires while they're still manageable, thereby preventing their spread before they threaten communities. 🔥 We are thrilled to have our #wildfiredetection and #airqualitymonitoring technology, N5SHIELD®, featured in this excellent coverage by Veronica Costa and Denver7 (KMGH-TV). Twenty of our sensors, capable of detecting smoke, particulate matter, and monitoring heat signatures to alert first responders and stakeholders before fires escalate, are set to be deployed in Jefferson County soon. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Nathaniel Whittington MPA, CEM, MEPP, the Emergency Manager of Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, for his trust in our technology. 🔥 We also extend our gratitude to Dr. Dimitri Kusnezov, the Under-Secretary of DHS Science and Technology Directorate for voicing the challenges of #wildfiremanagement and how N5 can provide a solution to the growing need. 🎯 "The sensors have been installed in wildland urban interface areas — the space between wildlife and human habitats — in Woodside, Portola Valley and unincorporated parts of San Mateo County. The sensors can alert first responders about burgeoning fires in real time, and can track movement of fire and smoke in addition to air quality." 🌟 We thank Isha Trivedi and The Mercury News for their wonderful coverage of the recent deployment of our N5SHIELD® sensor network in the Stanford-Woodside-Palo Alto region, in collaboration with the Santa Clara County FireSafe Council. We are grateful to Seth Schalet for highlighting the impact of our #earlydetection technology on #wildfiremanagement. 🔗 Sensors use artificial intelligence to detect wildfires around Peninsula (mercurynews.com)

In collaboration with the Santa Clara County FireSafe Council, we are thrilled to announce the extension of N5SHIELD® to the Stanford-Palo Alto-Woodside region with the addition of 50 new sensors to the network offering complete coverage of these communities. As a testament to N5 Sensors’ commitment to protecting communities vulnerable to #wildfires, this deployment significantly expands our reach to protect valuable assets and human life from wildfire by alerting at a very early stage. At N5, we feel proud to be entrusted with the responsibility of keeping the communities of Palo Alto, Woodside and Stanford safe. This purchase order is yet another milestone in the deployment of our #earlydetection wildfire and #airqualitymonitoring sensor solution technology across wildfire-prone communities worldwide. Seth Schalet from SCCFSC shares his experience on partnering with us as our reseller: “Santa Clara County FireSafe Council has been a partner and reseller for N5 Sensors for the last 2 years. We started with 15 sensor installation with San Jose Water throughout the Lexington Basin. Our latest project is the just installed 50 Sensor partnership with Stanford University, Palo Alto Fire Department and Office of Emergency Services and the WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT. This was facilitated by N5's partnership with the DHS Science and Technology Directorate and is the largest #AI-based #wildfiresmoke #sensor installation in the Bay Area and on the U.S. mainland. It is a significant advancement in #earlywarning and #alerting and will help keep the residents, communities and natural beauty of the area safer from wildfires.”
