Really thrilled to share extracts from 'The Road Less Travelled' by Nivedita Bedadur. This children's book on climate change was inspired by my #CEEChange project - the Young Climate Authors Educator Training from Cogitation Club which Nivedita completed recently. The book is a pen-pal exchange between two girls - one in a deeply rural setting in Maharashtra, India and the other in Australia. The story is so lovely and the accompanying illustrations are incredibly beautiful.. Truly waiting for the full book to be published soon. This joins the incredible place-based climate stories published by Elizabeth Varkey's students. We need a ton of climate fiction stories coming out from the Global South.
