Despite media reports to the contrary, recent political and social unrest on college campuses is not expected to impact recruiting, with employers who responded to a recent NACE Quick Poll overwhelming saying it will not impact their fall recruiting plans, and student activism does not play a role in hiring decisions. https://ow.ly/NAAQ50T9Q6r

CALL FOR SURVEY PARTICIPANTS! Last spring the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the American Association of Colleges and Universities, and the Society for Experiential Education (SEE) released the report, Faculty Attitudes and Behaviors: The Integration of Career Readiness Into the Curriculum (Report Link: https://lnkd.in/gWeCNxwm) highlighting data from our joint survey that demonstrates the many ways faculty support career readiness. We are expanding on and deepening this work, and this Fall 2024 we are conducting a study to better understand how faculty and staff are connecting experiential learning and high-impact learning practices with career preparation for students. NACE, AAC&U, and SEE will utilize findings to inform a deeper understanding of current practices involving experiential learning/high-impact practices linked to career preparation, as well as to create resources and programs to promote innovation for faculty, staff, and institutions of higher education. We ask that you share the opportunity to participate in this research by sharing the link to a short survey with faculty and staff members involved with experiential learning and high-impact practices at your institution. If enough people respond from your institution, we will provide you with a free campus report of findings. In addition to the survey link, please share the following details with faculty and staff members: ◾ This survey should take less than 8 minutes to complete. ◾ Your responses are saved every time you advance to the next page. ◾ You can leave and return to the survey where you left off as long as you use the same computer or device. ◾ The survey will remain open throughout Fall 2024 until December 31, 2024, although we encourage completion of the survey as soon as possible! Please be sure to add your name and email at the end of the survey, if you would like to enter drawings for five (5) prizes of $100 Amazon gift cards. We will notify the winners in early January 2025. Confidentiality of the data: NACE, AAC&U and SEE will keep your responses confidential. Individual responses will be aggregated and summarized. Thank you for participating! Mary Gatta, PhD, Director of Research and Public Policy, NACE Ashley Finley, PhD, Vice President for Research and Senior Advisor to the President, AAC&U Patrick M. Green, EdD, Chair of Research and Scholarship, SEE SURVEY LINK: https://lnkd.in/g2_DCVty

College graduate Fall recruitment season is in full swing! 🎓 So I thought I'd share some key insights from our latest university recruiting benchmarks/compensation study you might find interesting: 1. 📅 It takes 41 days on average from offer to acceptance – employers took longer to offer positions than in the past. 2. 🤝 Students took 3 extra days to accept offers compared to the previous year. 3. 📈 Employers increased the # of offers by 8%, with students accepting nearly 6% more offers. 4. ⚠️ 8% of students reneged on their full-time offers, impacting recruiters' decisions/planning. 5. 🔄 Intern hiring saw a higher renege rate - 10% of acceptances. Adapting to shifts in the hiring cycle is crucial. Let's align expectations and realities to minimize disappointments.
