The Bridge of Empathy: Connecting Schools to their Families and Community by Brian Miller | By leading with empathy, school leaders can build bridges between their schools and communities that will result in more support for students and families who feel heard and connected. It is our humanity that will develop community partnerships, not our knowledge. Embrace the humanity of your parents and community, build bridges of empathy, and our children will succeed. As students, but also—and more importantly—as people. https://lnkd.in/ehidHTH9

About us
National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) leads in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals and other education leaders in their commitment for all children. In 2008, NAESP embarked on an ambitious—and achievable—strategic plan to best lead, serve, and support elementary and middle-level principals today and in the future. NAESP will strive to continue to be principal-led, member-driven, and business-focused. A core focus of our work will be to ensure that principals have what they need to lead learning communities. This program, a collaborative effort between the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), and AASA, The School Superintendents Association, equips professionals with the critical skills necessary for successful school leadership. Join us in congratulating Julia Gaines, Lynda Granady, Shalonda Howze, Danielle Jackson, Garrett Maier, Gavin Quinn, and Rafael Vasquez on this significant achievement. Their commitment to advancing their leadership skills is commendable and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact they will undoubtedly make within their respective schools.
