Too many early childhood educators are leaving or intend to leave the workforce, worsening the challenges of child care supply, affordability, and quality. To better understand this problem and potential solutions, NAEYC designed a study to examine the relationship between the type and amount of professional support accessed by ECE educators and their intentions to stay or leave the field. The findings emphasize the importance of support, particularly in quality and advocacy, to retain a diverse and effective ECE workforce.
