You have the power to change how our communities address people with mental illness and their interaction with the criminal justice system. People with mental illness are overrepresented in our nation’s jails and prisons and NAMI believes that people with mental illness deserve help, not handcuffs. Take action today to ensure our policymakers don’t overlook the experiences of people with mental illness: https://lnkd.in/giDCbyRp
