Our NASA Electric Aircraft Testbed (NEAT) has won a Laureate Award from Aviation Week for extraordinary advancements in commercial aviation! ✈️👏 Located at our Neil Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio, NEAT is a one-of-a-kind site where industry, government, and academia can test electrified aircraft propulsion systems at simulated altitudes. 4G data from latest Moon mission will help improve communications and navigation in space 🌕 Intuitive Machines' IM-2 mission launched yesterday evening, carrying NASA science and technology to the Moon as part of the agency’s lunar delivery initiative. The NASA Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) program is working with partners to leverage 4G data from the mission. SCaN’s Lunar 3rd Generation Partnership project and the Lunar Surface Propagation project — both managed by NASA Glenn — are developing wireless technologies that bring advanced communications capabilities found on Earth to astronauts on the lunar surface. These projects will make use of critical data-gathering and technology-demonstration opportunities from IM-2 to refine models, increase prediction confidence, and ensure that future missions have reliable communications and navigation. 📸: Intuitive Machines (Artistic Representation) #NASA #Moon #Space #Technology #Launch #Science
