The Nassau Noodle Ninjas 🥷 took 3rd place 🥉 at the Connecticut Foodshare Golden Scoop Competition. Our team worked together to scoop, weigh, package, label, and box 2 pound bags of dry pasta. The competition was fierce, with surprise challenges added sporadically, hoping to knock top teams off their game. From scooping with one hand, wearing an eye patch, and standing on one leg – the Nassau Noodle Ninjas were not dismayed. Team Stop & Shop took the win. A contested second-place finish was awarded to New Haven Hot Chicken, followed by Team Nassau Financial Group – we both packed 66 boxes of pasta, although the judges believed Nassau’s final box was not fully taped shut… 🤔 The dry pasta will be delivered to food pantries and distributed to families across the state of #Connecticut. Thank you to Thomas Buckingham for leading the team and for his longtime service on the CT Foodshare Board of Directors. Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) has upgraded the insurance financial strength ratings for Nassau’s insurance companies to BBB+ and assigned a positive outlook. In its commentary on this upgrade, KBRA noted that Nassau’s ratings “reflect its multi-year transformation that has positioned the company to successfully execute its strategy.” Click to learn more: https://nfg.link/4dAd4VO

Once again, Nassau was named one of the Top Workplaces in Greater Hartford for 2024, and this year we were recognized with two additional trophies. Nassau was also named one of the Top Workplaces in the Albany Capital District, an annual list published in the Albany Times Union. Top Workplaces is an annual list, and the awards are based on employee feedback from a survey sent to everyone in the Hartford and Albany offices earlier this year. Nassau Re (Cayman) took great pride in continuing its sponsorship of the Pursuit of Excellence Foundation (PoE) on its annual Ready, Set, Learn program. This is the 4th year that Nassau Re (Cayman) donated funds to provide back-to-school supplies to Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac families. In true Nassau fashion, our team also got more deeply involved by providing hands-on support. Veronika Kiriuhin and Faith Dube donated and helped distribute Magic School Bus books at the PoE giveaway event. The books will introduce Actuarial-related careers to children in grades 3 to 5 and help inspire the next generation of actuarial professionals - an exciting career that is part superhero, part fortune teller, and part trusted advisor! #BEanACTUARY #nassaucares
