  • The National Automobile Museum recently hosted a sold-out event in collaboration with The Nevada Independent, featuring Governor Joe Lombardo as the distinguished speaker. Museum President, MacDougall kicked off the proceedings by announcing an exciting development for the young and curious minds: the inception of the Children’s Educational Activity Center, set to open its doors in June of 2024. This initiative underscores the Museum's commitment to educational outreach and engagement with the community. The highlight of the evening was an insightful Q&A session, hosted by Jon Ralston, CEO of the Nevada Independent, who facilitated a dynamic conversation with Governor Lombardo. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into a myriad of topics and gained a deeper understanding of the Governor's vision and policies. Although the event was a unique chance to experience the discussion live, we want to make sure nobody misses out. A full recording of the event is available, allowing those who could not attend to witness the dialogue firsthand through the provided link. . https://buff.ly/3Vume0H The museum's series of guest speakers continues with another esteemed figure, President Brian Sandoval of the University of Reno. The upcoming event is scheduled for March 22nd at 8 am. Doors open at 7 am, offering a networking opportunity accompanied by an array of breakfast treats. Given the overwhelming response to past events, early ticket purchase is advisable to secure a seat. To purchase advanced tickets, visit our website- buff.ly/44wkqWx

  • "Break your life into scenes, identify the things that are in the way, and like a car, steer the direction where you want to go." Mark S Allen delivered an inspiring presentation this morning in the Museum Theatre. He shared stories of a long list of stars he's met and interviewed throughout his career with names like Jennifer Aniston, Jim Carrey, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Robin Williams. The most poignant moment of Allen's presentation was when he shared a story about a moment when his life stopped and he lost everything. He had to start over at the age of 50. "Sometimes you have to adjust your expectations and keep your eye on your goal." Mark described how he was able to pick himself back up, make some phone calls, and with the help of some very loyal friends, he began his career as a TV/Film producer, and ended up a 7-time Emmy award-winner. It was such a pleasure to have Mark at the Museum and we can't wait to have him back again soon. Looking forward to our next guests in our Monthly Speaker Series. The lineup includes Governor Lombardo, UNR President, Brian Sandoval and renowned Chef and TV personality, Jeff Henderson. For more information and to purchase tickets to our Monthly Speaker Series, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/db9p8mdy Special thanks to Blue Desert Portraits for offering FREE headshots during our networking hour. #speakerseries #renonevada #networkingevent #careeradvice
