The NBPA, in partnership with the U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF), Myriad USA, and the African Diaspora Network, brought together key leaders during this year's United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) week, including current and former African NBA players, to explore the transformative power of the diaspora in government, business, academia, banking, sport, and entertainment. The occasion marked the second time the NBPA and NBPA Foundation have convened during UNGA, underscoring their continued commitment to support and amplify lasting player-led initiatives across Africa.

We are excited to announce that former NBA player, Gorgui Dieng, has partnered with USADF and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Foundation to launch an agricultural development project in Senegal through the Gorgui Dieng Foundation! 🇸🇳 With the support of a $25,000 matching grant from both USADF and the NBPA Foundation, totaling $50,000, this initiative will establish a hospital farm at Kébémer Hospital, supplying fresh vegetables and medicinal plants for patients and the local community, with the goals of enhancing nutrition and supporting local farmers. 🌾 This latest grant was made as part of an ongoing partnership between the NBPA Foundation and USADF to fund development projects supported by NBPA members interested in and committed to African development. 🌍 For more details, read our official press release: https://lnkd.in/eJJQ63BU

At this year's NBPA Top 50 Camp, the best players from the SIAC and The Southwestern Athletic Conference gathered in Atlanta to train and celebrate community as HBCU athletes. Since 2017, the camp has given HBCU student-athletes a unique opportunity to learn and develop their skills on and off the court.
