Check out this recent NCDA member project from Edinburg, TX! 👏 The project included the purchase and installation of broadband infrastructure. WiFi access points were installed on existing light poles and other structures in qualified census tracts, reaching the City’s low-to-moderate income population. A total of $394,548 funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development CDBG-V Program was used to complete this project successfully. This project continues to provide access to free, reliable broadband infrastructure that provides residents with the digital capacity necessary to meet day-to-day needs. The annual costs for ongoing maintenance, support and subscriptions are approximately $23,400, which is being paid through the City’s General Fund. Thanks, Edinburg, for sharing your project with us!
