TEACHING THE FUTURE Recently, the California Glass Association represented our industry at the Kids Construction Expo in San Diego. Volunteers from A Glasco, Inc., Pacific Coast Glazing, Inc., and FHC Frameless Hardware Company LLC were on hand to introduce the youngsters to our industry! FHC and GLASSWERKS LA donated materials (as well as volunteers) to help with the education process. A great time was had by all! Task group meetings generally last 30 to 60 minutes, with additional time on a volunteer basis to draft content. This morning, the National Association of Manufacturers - NAM released this open letter to the next president of the United States. It reflects industry commitment to helping the next president address the country’s challenges and underscores the important role of manufacturing and the industries that support it. Along with 606 other leaders across the manufacturing sector, I signed the letter on behalf of the National Glass Association (NGA) and as an advisory board member of the Council of Manufacturing Associations, to send a strong, united message from our industry. The CMA represents industry-specific trade associations within NAM, representing 130,000 companies worldwide, to ensure manufacturers have the strongest possible voice. No matter who becomes our president, NAM, CMA and the NGA have the same message: we are committed to working together to strengthen trust and collaboration—within our sectors and across the nation, because a strong manufacturing economy is essential to our national security, economic resilience and continued prosperity.
