Check out this great virtual FIM resource center! The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) OASH Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion just launched a #FoodIsMedicine Virtual Toolkit for individuals and organizations looking to expand and improve Food Is Medicine practices and policies in their states and communities. It includes information for health care providers, policymakers, community leaders, and other organizations working to improve access to nutritious food to promote optimal health. As you browse this virtual hub of federal resources, you can check out public input on research needs collected from an National Institutes of Health Request for Information (RFI) to gather information on FIM research opportunities and best practices for implementation. In addition, there are resources available to support Food Is Medicine capacity building, education, research, program evaluation, and more. There is also a section on lessons learned and guidance to program leaders! The National Institutes of Health Office of Nutrition Research (#ONR) is proud to have participated in this effort to help compile this extensive suite of information and resources. Check out these great resources by visiting health.gov/FoodIsMedicine. #FoodIsMedicine #wearenih #nutrition #nutritionresearch
