Danny Buckelew ran in the Olympic Marathon Pour Tous in Paris, the first-ever event that gives amateur athletes the opportunity to run the same route as the Olympic marathon, last weekend. "My journey with MS has taught me that life doesn't end with a diagnosis. Running the Olympic Marathon course in Paris during the games is an incredible opportunity to highlight Finish MS in order to advocate and raise funds to help us find a cure. Since my diagnosis in 2010, I've helped raise over $75,000 for the National MS Society." Finish MS, an opportunity for cause-driven athletes who want to support the Society, offers bib entries into premier events across the country and partnerships with local events —from Disneyland 5Ks to the Boston Marathon.

In 1946, the National MS Society sponsored its first three research projects. Today, we celebrate a significant achievement for the disability rights movement and for all those living with MS.
