NNPHI is one of 3 Public Health Infrastructure Grant (#PHIG) National Partners working to support health departments in their efforts to strengthen the essential public health workforce. Get to know more about our role in providing technical assistance, evaluation support, and coordination and communications here: https://lnkd.in/eMzpmT7r
Health departments are short 80,000 public health workers, which means employees often must take on multiple roles and projects beyond the ones they were hired for. This makes it difficult for health departments to meet the service needs of the community. CDC’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) funded 107 health departments to increase the size and capabilities of the public health workforce around the country. PHIG’s flexible funding gives public health workers the ability to meet current service needs and handle complex health situations today and in the future. https://bit.ly/3R4WG78
