Let's chat about each of the seven dimensions of well-being 🌱 We'll start with cultural well-being. Local park and recreation agencies have the power to foster growth, learning, and belonging through... 🌱Community events and celebrations 🌱Visual and performing arts 🌱Cultural relevancy and humility When culturally relevant spaces, programs and services are provided, community members, including staff, develop a sense of belonging, inclusion and appreciation. They embrace, celebrate and value the identities, traditions and experiences of others. This also creates a practice of cultural humility, a dynamic and lifelong process focusing on self-reflection, personal critique and acknowledging one's own biases. Park and recreation professionals, every day, support community health and well-being across seven interconnected dimensions. Follow along as we dive into each of these dimensions in the weeks to come.
