Big news in the world of ammunition! 📢 The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute®, Inc., (SAAMI®) has announced the acceptance of the 5.7 X 28 FN centerfire pistol and revolver cartridge. 5.7 X 28 FN – The 5.7 FN, originally designed by FN Herstal, S.A., was proposed for standardization by SAAMI Voting Member Fiocchi of America, in partnership with FN America, LLC. The cartridge features a 40-grain bullet traveling at a velocity of 1,750 fps from a 5-inch test barrel and a Maximum Average Pressure (“MAP”) of 48,500 psi. SAAMI is the organization at the forefront of promoting firearm safety by creating standards that ensure safety, reliability and interchangeability of firearms, ammunition and components. A new report from a grassroots voter registration group demonstrates the tremendous importance of registering to vote and the heightened impact hunters, recreational shooting sports enthusiasts and other law-abiding American gun owners could have on federal, state and local elections if they were only to register to vote and do so on Nov. 5, 2024. That includes making sure the more than 22.3 million new first-time gun owners since 2020 are registered and make the effort to get to the ballot box on election day. NSSF’s #GUNVOTE initiative was created to do just that and according to the newly released data from Vote4America, the outcome of the presidential election could be determined by Second Amendment supporters in just over 100 days. President Joe Biden doesn’t plan on quietly exiting the political arena. He’s taking one last shot – albeit a wild swing – at the U.S. Supreme Court. Call it a dog whistle to the progressive wing of the Democratic Party that’s been targeting the Supreme Court for a wide-variety of issues, a get-out-the-vote ploy to boost Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for The White House as she replaces him on the party ticket or just sour grapes over a series of decisions – including those on gun control – that President Biden despises. Any and all could be true. What’s clear is President Biden’s play to remake the Supreme Court in his image would give gun control supporters an opportunity to wipe out recent rulings by the Supreme Court, including on the Second Amendment and restraining Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulatory overreach. https://lnkd.in/gm6V-BVH #PresidentBiden #POTUS #SCOTUS
