President, National Student Nurses’ Association; BSN Candidate, May 2025 Currently attending the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at CWRU in Cleveland, Ohio President@nsna.org
First day of meetings in Washington, D.C. on Extreme Heat and Climate Change. Thank you to Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments for organizing this event and including me on behalf of the National Student Nurses' Association! This morning we met with the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity (under the Department of Health and Human Services). Then in the afternoon, we met with the White House Concil on Environmental Quality. We had great discussions on how nurses can mitigate effects of climate change and advocate for progress. Student Nurses, this is our future so we must do what we can to make it the best for ourselves and our future patients!
