• • • As we approach Día de los Muertos, it's important to know that many families now extend their offerings to include deceased pets. Although this is not a part of the original tradition, in some communities, especially in urban areas and among people who have a strong bond with their pets, October 27th is celebrated as the day when the souls of pets return. On this day, some families set up small altars dedicated to dogs, cats, birds, or any other animal that may have been an important part of the family. Below we have shared some decorations and offerings to honor pets on this day.
