Our Reno team attended the Battle Gritt Co. Annual First Responders Appreciation Event! Our wonderful staff had a great time meeting and thanking the first responders for the service they provide to our community! First responders go out into the community every single day and often encounter homeless Veterans in need of our services. Meet Vince, a U.S. Navy Veteran whose journey from homelessness to hope is inspiring. After moving to California in 2009 to find his biological father, Vince experienced homelessness, mental health challenges, and addiction. After facing death in a car accident and surviving, Vince knew that he needed to turn his life around. He knew about Nation’s Finest, but wasn’t ready yet to ask for help. After moving to Eureka, he sought help from our team who helped him with all his goals. After a lot of hard work from both Vince and our team, here he is now signing a lease for a place of his very own! Now Vince is enrolled in College of the Redwoods and learning Construction Theory and Basic Carpentry.
