New research out of Boulder, CO, sheds light on how cannabis-infused edibles may benefit those with chronic lower back pain. A recent study published in Frontiers in Pharmacology found that patients using cannabis edibles, particularly THC-dominant ones, experienced a decrease in pain intensity over time. Conducted by researchers at the University of Colorado, the study followed 249 participants who consumed three types of edibles—THC-dominant, CBD-dominant, and balanced THC/CBD—for two weeks, tracking changes in pain and mood. While THC-dominant edibles provided the most pronounced relief, CBD-dominant products seemed to help with short-term tension. The findings suggest that cannabis edibles could serve as a potential alternative for those seeking different options from traditional pain medications. A Week of Wins & Losses for California's Cannabis Industry. Governor Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill that would have allowed sales farmers markets, dashing hopes for small growers to sell directly to consumers. This decision highlights the ongoing challenges small businesses face in navigating California's complex cannabis regulations. However, it's not all bad news! Newsom signed a separate measure to legalize cannabis cafes, similar to those in the Netherlands. Starting January 1, consumers will be able to enjoy cannabis in social settings, such as cafes where they can sip coffee, eat, and listen to music. As Assembly Member Matt Haney stated: "Lots of people want to enjoy legal cannabis in the company of others, and there's no doubt that cannabis cafes will bring massive economic, cultural, and creative opportunities to our state." With local approvals still pending, this new law could reshape how consumers experience cannabis in California. What impact do you think these cafes will have on the industry? https://lnkd.in/gS9yyqUy #CannabisIndustry #CaliforniaCannabis #CannabisCafes #SmallBusiness #Regulation #EconomicGrowth #CannabisPolicy

A Groovy Ode to Colorado! We are thrilled to unveil the newest mural at our Tower Road location, a vibrant piece by local artist JOSEPH PALEC that perfectly captures the essence of Colorado and cannabis culture. Unveiled on August 8th, this multi-colored masterpiece is already turning heads at 7050 Tower Road, right near Denver International Airport. Joe worked tirelessly to create a mural that "screams 'Colorado'" and integrates the quirky lore surrounding our beloved airport. From the Denver skyline and Red Rocks Amphitheatre to fun references like Blucifer and even some feline friends, the mural is a playful yet powerful representation of what makes our community unique. "I wanted to throw in all those conspiracy theories about Denver International Airport, lizard people, Blucifer, those kinds of things," Joe shares. "Something really magical that the store manager told me is the people coming to that store, it's not only their first experience at a dispensary, but it's usually their first stop when they come into Colorado. I wanted to make sure I put those vibes in there." This mural isn’t just a visual treat—it's a story waiting to be told. We invite you to stop by, take a look, and soak in the creativity and culture that make Native Roots special. 🌿 A huge thank you to Joe Palec for bringing this vision to life and to everyone who made the reveal such a memorable event. 🎉 https://lnkd.in/eRnmtd_R #ArtInTheCommunity #Denver #CannabisCulture #SupportLocalArtists #MuralMagic
