About us
The Navy SEAL Foundation’s (NSF) mission is to provide critical support for the warriors, veterans, and families of Naval Special Warfare (NSW). NSW performs hazardous work in unforgiving environments at an unrelenting pace. SEALs deploy globally and spend up to 270 days in harm's way each year. NSF stands behind this community by providing comprehensive programs designed to build strength and resilience, encourage optimal health, enhance opportunities for growth through education, and solidify a sense of community and belonging. Like the community we serve, NSF is a high-performing organization committed to excellence. Charity Navigator has awarded us a 4-star rating since 2009 and a perfect score of “100” since 2014 for our financial health, accountability, and transparency. We rank higher than 99.9% of charities nationwide. Ninety-four cents of every dollar donated directly funds our programs or is retained for future mission use.

On August 10, 2024, over 300 participants came together for the 6th Annual Navy SEAL Foundation NYC SEAL Swim, honoring those lost on 9/11 and in Extortion 17. They braved a 3.5-mile swim in the Hudson River, completing 66 pull-ups and 300 push-ups along the way. Starting at Liberty State Park and finishing at the World Trade Center, this event brought together SEALs, veterans, and first responders, all raising funds for the Navy SEAL Foundation. The Navy SEAL Foundation evaluates providers and treatment facilities utilizing an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) model of program evaluation that is redesigning care delivery to increase effectiveness and efficiency of interventions while reducing safety risks. Our goal is to ensure effective treatment and that no harm is done to the service or family member. We encourage you to scrutinize how providers and treatment facilities adhere to such best practices and manage your care. #NavySEALFoundation

"Dear NSF, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the academic scholarship I received during the Spring 2024 scholarship cycle. Your generous support is pivotal to my success in law school and life post-Teams. Thank you for making this extraordinary journey possible." — Veteran SEAL Cycle two of NSF’s scholarships closed on June 28, 2024, with over a hundred applications from active duty and veteran SEALs and SWCCs. These applications are now being reviewed by an independent committee, and we will announce the awards in early August. We are immensely thankful for the opportunity to provide this vital educational support to the NSW community. #NavySEALFoundation
