It’s Autonomy Technologies Week! Triton Systems, Inc. is on a current Navy SBIR Phase II contract to provide innovative new technology to the warfighter! Triton Systems, Inc., Chelmsford, MA. Title: Autonomous Anchoring System For Unmanned Vessels, Topic # N211-072. Overview: Triton Systems, Inc. and partners will develop an autonomous anchoring system aboard USVs that can conduct routine anchoring operations without human intervention. The current anchoring solution is manpower intensive requiring a user in the loop to both choose the location as well as execute and monitor the sequence of actions such as, the lowering and securing of the anchor. Triton's innovative automated anchor handling system will be able to accept commands from a higher level system (autonomously and/ or human) and be able to automatically handle, drop, and weigh the anchor. In Phase II, Triton will deliver an anchor planning and handling system for reliable, safe, and repeatable operation. Triton Systems, Inc.
