Today is World Mental Health Day. We want to highlight a unique partnership in the Cully Neighborhood of Portland, part of NAYA's Cultural Corridor. NAYA brings healing services like acupuncture to our community by partnering with the great folks of Working Class Acupuncture. They recently received a grant that will allow them to provide free acupuncture in their new student clinic to residents of NAYA’s apartment buildings, as well as all NAYA staff. This weekend, Free Geek closed out its fiscal year with the biggest event of our year: “Waitlist: Zero.” In partnership with Comcast and MHCRC, we brought close to 600 community members together at Portland Community College for a day of workshops, digital literacy classes, workforce development, resource tables, and the distribution of 500 Dell laptops, closing out our waiting list for computer requests! Comcast announced an additional $1 million investment for Free Geek to help drive forward our Digital Equity Action Plan in Multnomah County.
