Wake County, North Carolina is soliciting qualifications from professional consulting firms for services associated with the preparation of a Comprehensive Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan. The primary purpose of this plan is to provide an overview of the county’s role in the provision of parks and recreation services, evaluate existing county facilities and programs, and determining the needs, opportunities, and priorities through community input to meet future demands. Over the past 30 years, the county has prepared several parks and recreation and greenway master plans and updates. The most recent comprehensive parks and recreation master plan was completed in 2008. This effort will build upon and update the latest plans that have been developed.
