As we did the discovery for this article, I had a few realizations. (1) Company benefits and perks are intertwined with the company's cultural identity and should mirror one another. (2) You will never be able to please everyone as peoples personal life circumstance dictate their preferences. (3) You should not attempt to please everyone as that would require your company to sacrifice its true cultural identity. (4) Owning and embracing your company's cultural identity and associated benefits may not be satisfactory to everyone, but that does not make you bad, nor does it make the unfitting candidate bad, its just not a good match and that is okay! HOWEVER, if you are struggling to find talent and attempting to generate a larger candidate pool, there are some benefits and perks that are more desired than others. To offer these benefits and perks may require a cultural shift, so it is not as easy as a flip of the switch. As I state at the beginning of this article, "it is nuanced".
