We are shocked and saddened at the news and pictures coming from some of our higher education institutions and communities at-large in the western Carolina area following Hurricane Helene. NCAPPA is a family made up of different institutions and business partners from around the state. When one of our family members is in need, we should mobilize and support them in any way we can. As such, we have opened up a donation line for the facilities professionals and their families from Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. We encourage you to donate the items listed below or think about a monetary donation if you are able. All donations will go directly to the facilities professionals and their families from the institutions listed above. The day is almost here! Tomorrow will kick off our first Women in Facilities Appreciation Day! Happy Friday! Speaking of Friday, wasn't last Friday's wrap-up of our 2024 NCAPPA Conference great? We started and ended with some awesome raffles/giveaways and not to mention the 2nd Annual Women in Facilities Brunch with record breaking attendance! A special thank you to Alexis A Capps & Inpro for leading & sponsoring the event as well as to Niki Brown for speaking!

Wow! How action-packed was Thursday? We had a full schedule between the vendor hall opening, educational session presentations, awards, the new board induction ceremony, and finally...a casino night! A special thank you to all who attended and made this day one to remember!

Wednesday was such a fun day! We filled it with another service project through Fayetteville’s Second Harvest Food Bank (in partnership with Food Lion Feeds), but some of us also got to partake in some golf despite the heat at Kings Grant Golf & Country Club!

Yesterday was a great kickoff to the 2024 NCAPPA festivities. We had a great showing for our Technical Bring Your Team Tuesday as well as the first of our 2 service projects — Samaritan’s Feet. It is always a mission of NCAPPA to better the communities we are located in and visiting — what better way than to partner with Samaritan’s Feet with shoe donation for the greater Fayetteville area.
