About us
The North Carolina ArcGIS Users Group (NCAUG) is a non-profit professional organization which has been dedicated to advancing the geospatial industry through collaboration, networking and training opportunities for GIS professionals in both the public and private sectors for over 30 years. NCAUG was founded in 1989 by a small group of GIS professionals with a common desire to create an organization where members of the growing geospatial industry could come together and share their knowledge and experiences in order to create a professional platform which fostered collaboration, diversity and innovation in North Carolina. From those humble beginnings, NCAUG has grown to over 500 members from all over the state of NC. We host a number of training and networking events each year, both online and in-person including our annual conference held each year. Additionally, NCAUG is proud to offer annual student scholarships to the next generation of GIS professionals. We offer assistance to both undergraduate and community college students as well as graduate students enrolled in geography/GIS or related programs in NC.
