About us
The National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association, NDASA, is a member owned and driven organization to address workplace and community safety. In a world of substance abuse, ever changing workplace regulations, and community suffering, NDASA will provide leadership and guidance in addressing relevant issues by connecting resources, training and legislation. MEMBER OWNED: NDASA is member owned and operated. We are not held by one individual, but collectively by ALL MEMBERSHIP. By including community safety, we add a broad spectrum of members and resources to work toward health and safety for PEOPLE, both at home and at work. Employer rights advocacy: We believe that employers, both DOT and non-DOT should have a strong voice in regulations relating to their workplace. We’ll do that via legislative testimony, public education and providing resources on our website. Community Education: We believe that our members carry the experience to help curb substance abuse within our communities. We will do that via education and advocacy. Superior Training: NDASA holds a large bank of experts in various safety related industries. Members will have access to online, live and printable materials for their use. From drug screens, background screens, health and wellness screens, substance abuse and safety compliance, our training offerings are second to none. Current and relevant: NDASA won’t wait to see what everyone else says. We’ll act immediately and with solid facts on issues that matter to our membership. Expert testimony: NDASA will be strong advocates for improving lives. When legislation is being debated, we stand ready to assist our membership.

HHS has announced the re-approval of two MRO-certifying organizations for federal workplace drug testing. Congratulations to the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO) and the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) for their renewed certifications and for the highly-valued service they provide to MROs and safety! HHS requires MRO-certifying organizations that train and administer examinations to MROs to become HHS-certified every two years. (This is not a requirement for MROs operating under 49 CFR Part 40. ) This notice will be published in the Federal Register on October 24, 2024. Learn more here https://lnkd.in/gRP5fft4

Join the United States' largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign! The Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Know of activities in your area? Please share details in the comments below -- and you might just save a life. Red Ribbon Week started more than 30 years ago, following the death of Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, a special agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration who was killed by drug traffickers. High school students from his hometown began wearing red ribbons to remember him and commemorate his sacrifice. Since then, it has grown into an annual nationwide awareness and prevention campaign.
