"Near Earth Autonomy, based in Pittsburgh, has played a pioneering role adapting vertical lift aircraft—small and large alike—for autonomous operations. CEO and Co-Founder Sanjiv Singh, Ph.D., discussed what it means to be an autonomy integrator, his approach toward deterministic and non-deterministic forms of autonomy, the future of autonomous vertical-lift logistics in the Army and Marine Corps, and work with the Air Force on autonomy certification and aircraft inspection.” Read Sebastien Roblin's insightful Inside Unmanned Systems article covering Near Earth's past, present, and future! https://lnkd.in/e3K9UkT6

"Autonomous mobility provider Near Earth Autonomy won a spot leading one of the teams assembled by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to demonstrate optimized logistics using rotorcraft for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Aerial Logistics Connector (ALC) program. Together with additional collaborators Leonardo Helicopters and Honeywell, Near Earth reports that it will showcase advanced autonomy on the Leonardo AW139 helicopter to provide logistical support during expeditionary operations in contested environments. The AW139 -- known for its utility for defense, medical rescue, law enforcement, and energy operations worldwide -- will use Near Earth’s logistics mission autonomy system during the project." - Military Embedded Systems https://lnkd.in/etbZBgKi

Thrilled that Boeing Innovation Quarterly Magazine chose Aircraft Inspection as the cover story in their latest issue! "You’ll be able to pull up a tail number, click anywhere on the 3D model of that aircraft, and see a history of images of that exact part you clicked on,” said Alli Locher, Near Earth Autonomy senior product manager. “And, you’ll be able to do that from anywhere in the world.” By seamlessly integrating human expertise with powerful autonomy, the future of aircraft inspection, maintenance and transportation is safer, faster and even more reliable. https://lnkd.in/gcvTQErf
